Lana Tarrant wanted to focus on her creative abilities and desire to own her own business and oving into the hospitality industry was a natural transition for her. Lana graduated from the Stratford Chef’s School and has owned Appetizingly Yours for the last five years. In that time she has expanded services to include two boutique bakeries in Guelph. This year Lana was one of only 30 women to be the recipient of the Women of Distinction Award for her tenacity, her mentorship, and her service to the community.
She credits her success to her determination, ability to manage change and the many mistakes made along the way. Lana knows it takes a team of talented committed staff to juggle the many facets of her business, and she couldn’t do it without the ability to find, teach and encourage such a strong, capable team. She also supports local organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Beyond Border, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Guelph Community Foundation, Guelph Symphony Orchestra, Taste of Guelph, Guelph Jazz Festival and the Guelph Food Bank.
