You don’t realize how much we depend on email as a way to communicate, until you don’t have it.
Right now my company of women email is down and not even down consistently. I get no emails on my computer (my main working station), can get them on my ipad, but can’t reply and on my iphone, nothing. Nada.
With my major conference just days away I am sure you can appreciate how this has added to my stress level and made life a tad more complicated than it needs to be.
I am really trying to go with the flow, but it’s not easy. Plus in between all this, the conference website went down, days before the deadline to register and suddenly I get emails that must have been stored in email prison for months. Emails that I have never seen before but go back six months or so.
So much for creating a good impression with our usual prompt reply to emails. Now I am writing to folks to explain our silence.
I know there is a lesson to be learned here. Just trying to figure it out. Maybe it is just that I can cope. But no more please.
What I have decided is mercury must be in retrograde!
