“Change is the end result of all true learning.” Leo Buscaglia
I thought of this quote as I listened to Daniela Chase share her story of working through unhealthy generational patterns toward hope and healing.
Daniela emigrated to Canada at the age of four and grew up in East York in a complex family structure where she felt simultaneously most loved and least safe. Cycles of domestic violence and sexual abuse made her childhood experience a traumatic one. After graduating from high school, Daniela found a job and launched a successful career as a legal secretary.
The memories of her childhood stayed with her, however, and when she got married and had two children of her own, their safety became her paramount concern. With family as a core value, she was a stay-at-home mother for many years before returning to the workforce and, ultimately, exploring self-employment.
In early 2017, Daniela experienced what she describes as her Dark Night of the Soul. “I found myself totally disconnected and dissociated from any sense of self, with no clear identity, direction, or purpose.” Determined to create change in her life, she began her journey back to herself.
It was at the Avalon Empowerment weekend program, Awaken Your Potential, that Daniela found what she’d been searching for and she wasted no time in becoming a trained and board-certified Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).
Daniela credits NLP for making it possible to transform the pain of her past into her purpose. At the same time, her marriage ended. She and her husband approached their decision to separate and divorce from a space of mutual empathy, forgiveness, and grace. Above all, they wanted to maintain a loving and supportive family for their children.
“We wanted to be there for them, for the challenges and the celebrations of their lives, as naturally as we always had been. Now I’m passionate about helping parents facing separation and divorce to preserve the best of their family and release the rest. Parents who just need a little help and support while they learn how to make that happen. Because family is forever, even when marriages end.”
In November, she will begin accepting applications for the beta edition of her signature program ReWriting Happily Ever After — Flipping the Script on Separation & Divorce. Her website, beyoutifulimpact.com is currently being updated and will be available in mid-October.
“BeYOUtiful Impact — my coaching business — was born out of my journey back to myself, and the healing that happened as I learnt how to release the pain of my past gently and joyously. I’ve discovered so much joy since I started living my authentic life. Now, I’m helping others so that they can find it, too.”
And you get the sense she will.
